About

David Lee Martin
Inspired by many artist friends and clients over his 40 year
stylist career, David returned to school around 25 years ago to
pursue drafting and fine art. He quickly switched to fine art exclusively.
David was greatly influenced by his painting instructor and mentor Gary Pruner, and tends to focus mainly on bold pieces with hyper-pigmented impasto and some
form of abstraction. Many of David’s pieces are layered, etched,
scratched, splattered, and scraped. Bold and/or subtle color applications and washes are applied, and vague symbols and figures sketched in, resulting in a
depth of textures, while other works may be only slightly off from realism. David’s pieces often contain hidden private jokes, secret messages, or humorous/
futuristic cityscapes
